Transjakarta Invites 200 Veterans to Tour the Capital

As many as 200 members of th Indonesia Veterans Legion (LVRI) were invited to tour Jakarta using six Transjakarta buses, Thursday (8/10). The activity initiated by PT Transjakarta is in commemoration of Indonesia Independence's 78th Anniversary and LVRI's 66th Anniversary.

The activity began with a ceremony in the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP) area which was continued by laying flowers at the graves of national heroes. Afterwards, they headed for the LVRI Building or Balai Sarbini, Jalan Gatot Subroto.
In this building, they held tasyakuran (thankfulness) and cut the cone-shaped rice tumpeng. The next trip, along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin, HI Roundabout, and Jalan Imam Bonjol. Then, return to TMP Kalibata.

According to him, it is a form of respect and appreciation from the Jakarta Government to retired national army (TNI)-police officers who are members of the LVRI organization.
"We invite them to go around the city using Transjakarta buses whose quality is very modern, comfortable, not inferior to developed countries," he stated.
His party also gave them free Transjakarta service cards.
"This is done so that they can see the results of the struggle that has been given to the nation and state," he explained.
Jakarta LVRI DPD Chairman, Marsda TNI Purn Sri Budjono thanked PT Transjakarta for participating and invited its members to travel around Jakarta using the comfortable Transjakarta buses.
"This is the first thing that happened. We express our gratitude and very high appreciation to PT Transjakarta," he stated.
